Offensive line: D

Tom Farniok, the center, shined on an offensive line that didn’t do much to help protect the quarterback or get a running game established. Quarterback Sam Richardson was damn near the team’s leading rusher because he needed to use his legs to avoid getting hit.

When he couldn’t go against Kansas, backup Grant Rohach looked nowhere near like he did when he last had to play against the Jayhawks. Offensive lines generally tend to be one of the weakest puzzles in an Iowa State football team, and last season was no different from all the others as a collective unit.
