Samantha Goudie, better known as “Vodka Samm” and the greatest unofficial sponsor in the history of Hawkeye Vodka, said in an interview that she no longer drinks or uses social media.

Goudie was interviewed by 20/20, and here’s some of what she had to say:

"In the “20/20” interview, Goudie said she did not know how many drinks she had that day.“I had a lot,” Goudie said.Goudie also did not know how popular the tweets she sent while behind bars would become.“I was just doing it for my friends,” Goudie said. But her story did get picked up by several online news sources. Deadspin labeled Goudie as the “drunkest idiot ever.”"

For those that aren’t familiar with our favorite Hawkeye fan, “Vodka Samm” got incredibly hammered before the Iowa Hawkeyes’ home opener against Northern Illinois. She reportedly was trying to get on the field but was arrested before doing so.

She had a blood alcohol level of .341 and went to jail. Deadspin had full coverage of the events and released her mugshot online. She became an internet craze for a few days before finally deleting her Twitter account, and then later a ton of Vine videos were found of her alcoholic adventures.

This should be a message to everyone that uses too much Hawkeye Vodka. You’ll eventually do something so stupid that you’ll have to clean yourself up and re-evaluate life.

Next time you’re at the local grocery store/gas station, go ahead and pick up that bottle of vodka from a higher shelf. You’ll be happy you paid the extra $10 later.
