1. Defeating the in-state rivals again at Kinnick Stadium
Iowa State continues to be a thorn on Iowa’s side and the reason the nation doesn’t take the Hawkeyes seriously. After a great 14-3 start by Iowa with a 55-yard drive and 61-yard drive in the first half, they could only double that total in the rest of their drives. The Hawkeyes depended on the run again which led to a consistent Jake Rudock (completed 16-of-24 passes), but the team made plenty of mistakes. A botched timeout situation led to a Cole Netten game-winning field goal kick with two seconds left and defeating Iowa 20-17.
