The next hurdle I see is against Georgia State on November 17th. Last season they nearly edged out NCAA team Louisiana-Lafayette and ultimately lost to Clemson in the NIT after going 25-9 on the year. This season they look poised to improve on that success with the added leadership of former Louisville Cardinal, Kevin Ware. Ware, as fans may remember, suffered a terrible injury during the 2013 NCAA tournament, which propelled the team to the title.
He joins low-post enforcer Curtis Washington, who stands at 6-foot-10, and last year’s leading scorer, R. J. Hunter. This game is part of the CBE Hall of Fame Classic tournament that will comprise the first several games of the Cyclones’ season.
