Mediacom’s 24-7 Cyclones.tv network is now available to stream live at anytime with a Cyclones.tv subscription.

More from Iowa State Cyclones

From the Cyclones athletic website press release:

"This means the TV channel can now be accessed anywhere in the world with a Cyclones.tv subscription and a broadband internet connection.Subscribers will be able to watch “Live TV” by clicking the tab in the media player.  For those who have upurchased [sic] our apps (new for the 2014-15 season) for iPad, iPhone and Android, there is now a “Live TV” option in the app menu."

Everything that’s available on the Cyclones.tv network is already available on-demand for Cyclones.tv subscribers, but they never had the convenient 24-7 network. Now that can be accessed through browsers compatible on the Cyclones.tv media player, or on Apple and Android devices.

As the release states, the Cyclones.tv network is one of only three networks to exist that are specialized for one university (Texas, BYU). Most importantly, it will be home to viewing two football games (vs Toledo, at Texas) and will show numerous early men’s basketball home games. It also shows the majority of other athletic home games such as women’s basketball, volleyball, soccer, and softball.

For those wondering if this means the Texas game will be distributed nationally for anyone that subscribes to Cyclones.tv, I don’t believe so. Big 12 television rules prohibit that the game is shown outside of Iowa through this service.

Cyclones.tv subscription rates are available for a 1-month recurring fee of $9.95, a 4-month recurring fee of $34.95, and a year-long recurring fee of $79.95. The full Cyclones.tv schedule can be found here.
