Baltimore kicks things off by hosting Pittsburgh on Thursday night football — which will be on CBS for the first half of the season. Cleveland will host New Orleans after dropping a tough loss to Pittsburgh last week. The Browns came all the way back from a 24-point deficit but the Steelers would win on a field goal. Carolina will have their home opener against Detroit, who looked powerful in their win over the New York Giants.
Finally, Tampa Bay will try to rebound from their loss to Carolina against St. Louis, who barely competed in a blowout to Minnesota.
Week 2 local affiliate guesses
- FOX: Lions at Panthers
- CBS: Patriots at Vikings, Chiefs at Broncos (maybe Jets at Packers)
