On the topic of large scoring runs, the only other time Iowa State had a good start this season was against the Bison. A 14-0 lead was honestly the only hope Cyclones fans had this season. That quickly changed as NDSU stole the momentum and dominated the clock. Iowa State’s offense didn’t have many opportunities and never was able to stage a comeback attempt.

Getting dominated by an FCS school is pretty bad. The fact that it was against NDSU, a school that’s won multiple championships in recent years and has beaten multiple FBS schools, makes it lower on the list.
