It really never got worse than this. Sitting there on the coach and watching all 30 freaking Kansas fans that actually showed up get all excited by beating the Cyclones and tearing down their own goal posts. The two worst Kansas moments get the nod above everything else because it’s Kansas, a team that couldn’t stand Charlie Weis that they fired him just a few weeks into the season.
Giving up 34 points to a team that averages just 17.8 per game was the worst moment of the season and where the chatter of firing Paul Rhoads truly came into fruition. Without question in my eyes, the worst moment of the 2014 season.
There’s the whole list. If you made it through while sober, congratulations. You deserve a cookie. As fun as it was compiling this list, let’s hope for some better memorable moments next season. For those of you thinking I’m the ultimate Debbie Downer after smacking the Cyclones in over 1,200 words in one post, don’t worry — we’ll actually compile the best moments of the season (there were some) this weekend.
