Pete Lembo

  • Head coach at Ball State
  • Also coached at Lehigh and Elon
  • Overall record: 107-56
  • Bowl record: 0-2

Coming into the season, Lembo was one of the top non-Power 5 head coaches. That’s dwindled a bit after a disappointing fourth season with Ball State, who now sits at 3-7 overall. However, his team lost just 13 games in his first three years and went to two straight bowl games in 2012 and 2013.

While this season has been bad for them, they were in position to win in a lot of their losses. Remember that disaster of a game against Iowa? They could have won! While Lembo’s stock isn’t high right now, I’m sure he’d take the job in a heartbeat if no one else is interested.
