Iowa State football: Injury updates on Jarvis West, Robby Garcia, and more

Iowa State head coach Paul Rhoads gave updates on all the injuries during his press conference on Monday afternoon after the Texas loss.

Wide receiver Jarvis West got reinjured on a punt return during the Texas game. West only appeared in one punt return all night, which happened at the end of the Longhorns’ first drive in the second quarter.

Backup defensive tackle Robby Garcia and backup nose guard Devlyn Cousin are also dealing with injures. Garcia has an undisclosed injury while Cousin dealt with an elbow injury and didn’t play in the game against Texas.

The timetable is unknown for any of their returns. Rhoads is hopeful that both West and Garcia will be back in two weeks for the game against Oklahoma, but right now they are both day-to-day. There was no update on Cousin.
