Iowa State vs Texas football: Game time, TV channel, radio, odds, and more
By Brian Spaen
Iowa State is on the road again for the third time this season, and outside of the season finale at TCU, playing in Texas’ house could be one of the toughest environments in the Big 12. Both teams are coming in with an identical overall record of 2-4. The Cyclones are looking for their first Big 12 victory while the Longhorns are looking for their second.

IMPORTANT CYCLONES.TV INFORMATION
NOTE: This isn’t the same as last week’s game against Toledo!! Please read.
Mediacom cable, a subscription to Cyclones.tv, or access to the Longhorn Network is required to watch this game.
Unlike the Toledo game, due to Big 12 rules, this game can only be shown online in Iowa. That means if you subscribe to Cyclones.tv but aren’t in the state of Iowa, you cannot watch the game.
HOWEVER, if you have Mediacom and live out of state, but do have access to Mediacom cable, then you will be able to watch the game. Again, the Big 12 rules apply to the online stream only.

If you are in state, the best way is to subscribe to the package for a month (about $10) and watch it on your computer. For those that want to watch it on TV, hook the computer up to the TV with an HDMI cable. Or, invest in a Google Chromecast that can wirelessly stream anything in a Google Chrome tab on your computer.
Another way of watching the game is through iOS and Android mobile devices, but that requires an additional purchase of the Iowa State app.
If you are out of state, the best chance to get the game is by finding somebody that has the Longhorn Network on Dish Network. LHN is available on some cable providers, but not many. If you have a friend that has Dish, try to be their best buddy for four hours on Saturday night. If you don’t have a friend that has Dish, grab a case of beer, stroll around a local neighborhood until you see somebody with a Dish Network satellite on their house, and become their friends.
Any other questions? Cyclones.com has you covered. Or, ask me on Twitter. When all else fails, grab some cash, some friends, and head to the nearest bar.
Updated weather and odds
It’s another perfect Saturday for another Iowa State football game. Not a drop of rain is forecasted in or around Austin all weekend long. Temperatures will be in the high 70’s around kickoff and will taper off to about 70 by the end of the game. Wind will start picking up around kickoff, but it won’t be much: about 5-7 mph from the Northeast.
As of Friday night, Iowa State is a 12-point underdog against Texas with the total sitting at 43.5 points. Clones Confidential has predicted a 31-17 victory for the Longhorns.
