BS: With a 2-4 record, Texas is off to their worst start since 1956. How is the fanbase generally reacting to the season so far?

JK: The fanbase is dealing with a dose of reality — this team is not that good. I ran several polls before the season started, and a vast majority of those who voted felt this was a 9 or 10 win team. This seemed like wishful thinking to me. After the BYU debacle, people began to realize this would be a rebuilding year. I suspect most fans would be happy with a 6-6 record.
It also doesn’t help when you lose your starting quarterback, center, and a top defensive tackle for the season. Not many programs can overcome nine dismissals and season-ending injuries to three key contributors.
