Defensive Line: C-

It’s really been hit or miss for the defensive line. Cory Morrissey is a beast at defensive end and has obviously been the leader of the group. But everyone else? They’ve been good, but the glaring stats of being ranked 106th nationally against the run and registering just 10 sacks (90th nationally) prevents me from giving them an above average grade.

Still, for what we said was the worst part of Iowa State’s team in the preseason, it’s done a commendable job. It’s stopped the run at times and Wally Burnham isn’t afraid to bring the blitz with the talent on the line.
