Sam Richardson hasn’t been terrible, but also hasn’t been extraordinary. The pool of mistakes shrinks in each game, but he’s always due for at least one bad decision when throwing the ball.

There’s no excuse that the receivers haven’t been more dominant in games, and Richardson must deliver the ball like he did in the second half against Toledo if Iowa State wants any chances to win games in the second half of the season. But he bounces his grade back up because he’s really carried any sort of running attack with his scrambling.
