Cyclones in the NFL: Leonard Johnson continues to impress with Buccaneers

Leonard Johnson was dominant again with Tampa Bay as the team nearly upset Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints. Elsewhere, A.J. Klein and Kelechi Osemele weren’t as dominant as they have been this season.

Here’s what the former Cyclones did last week:

  • Leonard Johnson (TB) continues to be excellent, recording five tackles (three solo). Four of those came in the second half; the first happened two plays before Drew Brees was picked off for a pick-six. He was called for defensive holding on an incomplete pass on the next drive that ultimately led to a Drew Brees touchdown.
  • A.J. Klein (CAR) recorded just one solo tackle on special teams, but he also caused a fumble. However, it went out of bounds.
  • Ahtyba Rubin (CLE) recorded three tackles (two solo).
  • Kelechi Osemele (BAL) left during the third quarter with a right knee injury, but came back later in the game. It was one of the lesser performances from the Ravens offensive line, which allowed six quarterback hits, four sacks, and four tackles for loss.
  • Jeremiah George (JAX) was listed as inactive for the second straight week.

Here’s the Week 6 schedule in the NFL this week. Kansas City and New Orleans are on a BYE week.

All games on Sunday unless noted. Odds last updated early Wednesday morning.
