Kansas State regains a spot at the top after losing to a non-conference opponent. The Wildcats really threw the game away, costing the conference an opportunity to get some smack talk against the SEC. Even the Big Ten that got dogged for the past two weeks had a team that has zero defense defeat Missouri on the road.
The Big 12 remains winless against Top 25 opponents, and that will likely be the case until the teams have a chance to beat up on each other.
Looking ahead to Week 5
Conference action finally heats up with three Big 12 games next week. Texas Tech kicks things off against 25th-ranked Oklahoma State on Thursday night. FOX Sports will have a Big 12 conference doubleheader, starting with Texas at Kansas at 3:00 PM Central time on FOX Sports 1, followed by seventh-ranked Baylor at Iowa State at 7:00 PM on your local FOX affiliate.
A couple more Big 12 teams will have non-conference action. TCU will visit hapless SMU hasn’t been competitive in any of their three losses this season. 20th-ranked Kansas State will host UTEP, who almost came away with a victory over Texas Tech earlier this season.
