  1. Kansas State: 1-0, 2-0
  2. Baylor: 2-0
  3. Oklahoma: 2-0
  4. Texas Tech: 2-0
  5. TCU: 1-0
  6. Kansas: 1-0
  7. West Virginia: 1-1
  8. Oklahoma State: 1-1
  9. Texas: 1-1
  10. Iowa State: 0-1, 0-2

After Kansas held on against Southeast Missouri State late Saturday, Iowa State now stands as the lone Big 12 team without a victory. Only three other teams — the Mountaineers, Cowboys, and Longhorns — have registered a loss.

Overall, the Big 12 didn’t look as strong as it did a week ago. Baylor and Oklahoma throttled their opponents and were not threatened at all. West Virginia beat down Towson as expected.

Texas Tech struggled mightily and pulled out a victory in the early hours of the morning at UTEP. They could be one of the weakest 2-0 teams in the country with shaky wins over really easy opponents.

As previously stated, the Jayhawks barely held on in their win against an FCS opponent. Oklahoma State definitely had a bit of a letdown in their 40-23 win over Missouri State.

Of course, we save the worst for last. Texas was down 34-0 to BYU at home before finally getting on the board in the 3rd quarter. BYU tacked on a touchdown in the fourth to make it an embarrassing 41-7 defeat for the Longhorns. They got hit with a sense of reality that this is a rebuilding year during Charlie Strong’s inaugural season.

The Longhorns are currently ranked 100th nationally in passing yards (183), 105th in rushing yards (122.5), and 106th in points for (22.5) per game.
