Iowa State football: Five games Cyclones must win to go bowling

The worst part about this game is where it lies on the schedule. It’s sandwiched between road games against Oklahoma State and Texas. This is a clear trap game if Iowa State isn’t prepared how good Toledo is supposed to be this year.
Good news for them is that the Rockets will hit Ames after six straight games to open the season right before the bye week. It will be the toughest environment they will play in all season (no offense to Cincinnati’s Nippert Stadium) and they could mentally check out if the season doesn’t go as planned.
