Big 12 roundup special: Texas Longhorns kick everybody off their football team

Ever since Texas Longhorns head coach Charlie Strong has taken over, he’s apparently determined to get rid of the garbage surrounding the team. There are least six players that are now off the roster, and there will likely be more.

ESPN learned that four players were officially kicked off the Longhorns on Friday, including notables like safety Josh Turner who was expected to start, and running back Joe Bergeron, who apparently did everything he was expected to do just three days prior at Big 12 media days.

"Safety Josh Turner, running back Jalen Overstreet and defensive back Chevoski Collins have been dismissed from the program for violating team rules, multiple sources told ESPN.com on Friday.Senior running back Joe Bergeron was also dismissed from the program, according to Orangebloods.com and multiple media outlets Friday."

Two other players, Chet Moss and Leroy Scott were dismissed from the team back and March and a pair of receivers,  Kendall Sanders and Montrel Meander, are suspended after receiving sexual assault charges.

Soon, Strong will have flyers for open tryouts as the students come back to Austin.
