Here’s all the players that made the top team in the conference on the offensive side, and to the shagrin of the traditional football powerhouses, Kansas State and Baylor had four players make it.
- WR Antwan Goodley (Baylor)
- TE E.J. Bibbs (Iowa State)
- OL Spencer Drango (Baylor)
- OL Cody Whitehair (Kansas State)
- C B.J. Finney (Kansas State)
- OL Daryl Williams (Oklahoma)
- OL Le’Raven Clark (Texas Tech)
- WR Tyler Lockett (Kansas State)
- QB Bryce Petty (Baylor)
- RB Shock Linwood (Baylor)
- RB Malcolm Brown (Texas)
Bibbs made the 2013 All-Big 12 second team. The only player that hasn’t made an All-Big 12 team prior to this release was Linwood.
Iowa State didn’t have any players named on the defensive squad, but here’s the list anyway. For those that have been following college football watch lists, all of these names should be familiar to you.
- DL Ryan Mueller (Kansas State)
- DL Devonte Fields (TCU)
- DL Chucky Hunter (TCU)
- DL Cedric Reed (Texas)
- LB Bryce Hager (Baylor)
- LB Ben Heeney (Kansas)
- LB Eric Striker (Oklahoma)
- DB Zack Sanchez (Oklahoma)
- DB Sam Carter (TCU)
- DB Quandre Diggs (Texas)
- DB Karl Joseph (West Virginia)
On special teams, Oklahoma’s Michael Hunnicut was named the place kicker, Baylor’s Spencer Roth was named the punter, Baylor’s Levi Norwood was named as the punt returner, and Lockett was designated as the kick returner.
The Bears lead the back with seven different players on the All-Big 12 team; Oklahoma had five and Kansas State had four (counting Lockett once). Iowa State, Kansas, West Virginia just had one player listed. Interestingly enough, Oklahoma State was left off.
