NBA Draft 2014: DeAndre Kane earns workout with Phoenix Suns
By Brian Spaen
The Phoenix Suns are having a lot of college basketball stars on the third day of their draft workouts, and DeAndre Kane is among this group.
ESPN basketball insider Jeff Goodman tweeted out the list of players working out with the Suns.
It’s the second team that Kane has worked out for as we countdown toward the NBA Draft. According to Hoops Rumors, they reported on Monday that both Hairston and Kane worked out with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Melvin Ejim was a candidate to work out with the Minnesota Timberwolves, but there’s been no reports that it’s actually taken place. He did work out with the Utah Jazz on Tuesday.
Don’t be surprised if Ejim gets a chance with the Timberwolves. Undoubtedly, Fred Hoiberg used some of his connections with Minnesota to give both Kane and Ejim a boost.
Confidence has to be sky-high for Kane. He was somebody that nobody knew coming out of Marshall, and knows he’s emerging as a favorite to be one of the 60 players drafted.
A friendly reminder: the NBA Draft will take place on Thursday, June 26th.
