The former Oregon State freshman guard tweeted earlier today that he will be visiting. CBS Sports’ John Rothstein confirmed the report and also noted that he will be doing it at the same time as another potential transfer.
Boston College’s Ryan Anderson was already planning a visit to the Iowa State campus weeks ago.
This confirms the report that Iowa State was among the schools in play to bring in Cooke. More information can be found about the point guard there, but to sum it up, the freshman no longer wanted to be in the Beavers’ future plans. He wants to play in the NCAA tournament and Oregon State is losing their top four scorers from this past season. With Cooke officially transferring, they will now lose their five top scorers.
