CBS’ 24-hour sports network will rebroadcast the game on Wednesday, March 26th, at 9:00 AM Central time. It will happen right after the TV edition of the Boomer and Carton, which is simulcast on CBS Sports Network.
The Cyclones defeated the Tar Heels, 85-83, in the third round of the NCAA tournament. Iowa State advances to the Sweet 16 for the first time since the 2000 season.
The game itself was a classic, an extraordinary effort given the circumstances. Iowa State knew they wouldn’t have Georges Niang for the rest of the tournament, but the team was able to rally when North Carolina threatened to pull away.
Instead, a collective effort from the remaining big three, and multiple clutch 3-pointers by Naz Long, gave the team a victory.
For those that missed the game and/or the opportunity to DVR the event, or just want to see the Cyclones win again, don’t miss CBS Sports Network on Wednesday morning.
