Vaughn made the announcement via Twitter on Tuesday morning. Quote: “Will be announcing my decision this weekend!”
The shooting guard is a five-star recruit among all recruiting services. 247Sports has him as the ninth-best player nationally and the third-best shooting guard in the class.
Back on December 27th, Vaughn narrowed his candidates to five: Iowa State, UNLV, Kansas, Kentucky, and North Carolina.
According to 247Sports’ interest gauge, the Cyclones are the leader in the clubhouse with the Running Rebels right behind them. The Jayhawks, Wildcats, and Tar Heels are in the “cool” category.
CBS Sports’ John Rothstein believes it will be Iowa State or UNLV (via Bring Me The News).
"Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports that Vaughn, who transferred to Findlay Prep in Las Vegas for his senior year of high school, will either choose former Minnesota Timberwolves guard Fred Hoiberg’s Iowa State Cyclones, or stay out west and go to UNLV."
