The safety positions were the strength of the team going into the season, and both Jacques Washington and Deon Broomfield didn’t disappoint. Washington hit over the century mark in total tackles, and Broomfield missed just one start all season.

Free safety will be an adventure next year with both seniors gone, but there’s a lot of potential at cornerback. True freshman Nigel Tribune finished with 30 total tackles and is most remembered for his pick in the game against Oklahoma State when the Cyclones were still in it early in the second half.
