There’s been some questions on whether or not those that don’t have Mediacom were going to be able to watch the Iowa State men’s basketball team take on Northern Iowa at Wells Fargo Arena, and now everything has been clarified.

The Hy-Vee Big Four Classic, that takes place on December 7th, will be broadcast on Mediacom’s MC22, showing both Iowa State-UNI and Iowa-Drake. Iowa State’s game will not be on the Mediacom Cyclones.tv network, but for those that have the Cyclones.tv online subscription, they will be able to watch a live feed of the game.
On the Cyclones’ official website, it updated the TV listings with “Mediacom/MC22,” but last year they updated it with clarification that there was also a live stream on Cyclones.tv. It will essentially be the same situation again this year, and likely every year that this event will take place.
Tip-off for the Iowa State-UNI game is at 5:00 PM on that Saturday.
MC22 was the last home for Iowa State men’s basketball games that weren’t picked up by other networks or locally shown on WOI-TV 5, then the Cyclones developed their own online streaming service to broadcast home games. It’s a much better service with high-definition streaming overlapped by the radio call. Mediacom reached an agreement to create a 24-7 network that showcased Cyclones.tv programming and it debuted last August.
