From NBA.com:

"The Utah Jazz announced today that the team has signed guard Diante Garrett of the NBA Development League’s Iowa Energy, marking the NBA’s first D-League Call-Up of the 2013-14 season. Per team policy, financial terms were not released. Following the move, the Jazz roster now stands at 15 players."

Interestingly enough, former Cyclone Jamaal Tinsley was waived by the Jazz on Tuesday. It was a rough go for the veteran in his first eight games, averaging just 1.1 points, 2.9 assists, and 0.3 steals in about 13.8 minutes per game.

Basically, the Jazz traded a former Cyclone for another Cyclone.

Garrett signed with the Oklahoma City Thunder on September 27th this year, but was waived on October 25th, just days before the regular season began.

The last time Garrett played for an NBA team was toward the beginning of last season when he made the Phoenix Suns’ regular season roster. In 19 games that he played in, the guard averaged 2.1 points, 1.6 assists, and 0.5 steals per game in about 7.8 minutes per game.
