Iowa high school football: Allen Lazard has a one-handed, 59-yard touchdown catch (VIDEO)

There hasn’t been enough love for high school football highlights on Clones Confidential, so let’s make up for it with an incredible play by one of the highest-touted commitments in Iowa State football history.
Allen Lazard, who’s ranked as Iowa’s best football player in the class of 2014 by 247Sports and is currently a top 10 wide receiver in the nation, committed to the Cyclones last December. He still stands by that decision.
In a football game on Wednesday night against Ankeny, Lazard picked up a 59-yard touchdown pass to put Urbandale up 21-0 in the waning seconds of the first quarter. The video makes the play look much better than any box score could.
Lazard made the one-handed catch look routine and his defender had no chance once the receiver turned on the jets into the endzone. You have to feel bad for his defender a little bit; even when he goes for a tackle near the goal line, he completely whiffs because Lazard has the speed of a Bugatti Veyron Super Sport.
