Did you miss last week’s abomination of picks against the spread? After laying a goose egg in the win column, here’s a hope to either redemption or just getting rid of the Vegas picks altogether.

One notable observation are all the low over/unders for the Big 12 games. Not one eclipses the 57 point total, which may hold true with some of the weaker offenses all on display this weekend.

Here’s how and where to watch all the Big 12 games, plus more top 25 action across the country. Note that all top 25 rankings are reflecting the latest USA Today poll. Because that’s the poll that matters for one more year. Also, odds are as of Friday morning.

Current records

  • Straight up: 23-7
  • At the spread: 7-15
  • Over/under: 11-11

(11)Oklahoma State at West Virginia – Saturday, 11:00 AM CT

WVU’s offense is simply dreadful. The gauntlet will be thrown to them early with two of the Big 12’s best offenses early at home. If OSU does a lot of damage, just imagine what Baylor will do next week. OK ST 42, WVU 17 (Odds: OSU -18, O57)

SMU at TCU – Saturday, 11:00 AM CT

Don’t scoff at SMU’s offense, which gained more yards than Texas Tech’s offense in both teams’ season opener earlier this year. The issue has been reaching the endzone, and it may only take a couple times to pull out a victory against a Horned Frogs team that’s struggling offensively. TCU 26, SMU 16 (Odds: SMU +19.5, U52.5)

(12)Oklahoma at (22)Notre Dame – Saturday, 2:30 PM CT

I’m sure the Sooners have been ready for this one after taking a loss at home against the Fighting Irish. Blake Bell is the right choice, giving OU a boost on the offensive side as a dual-threat quarterback. He’ll create enough havok to make fans in South Bend watch something they don’t see too often — Notre Dame losing at home. OKLA 27, ND 20 (Odds: OU -3.5, U49)

Here’s the prediction for Iowa State against Tulsa.
