The schedule for Iowa State’s 2013-14 men’s basketball season has been released today, and here’s a breakdown of the entire schedule. Finally, the non-conference schedule has a pulse, posing a bit of a challenge for the Cyclones before the Big 12 season.
Highlights in the non-conference schedule are games against Michigan at Hilton Coliseum and the lone true road game at BYU, both back-to-back in late November before Thanksgiving break. What’s gone is the annual Cyclone challenge, replaced with a game against Auburn in the inaugural Big 12/SEC Challenge and the team spending their winter break in Hawaii for the Diamond Head Classic tournament. Outside of the opening round game in the tournament, no tipoff times have been announced yet for the non-conference slate.
The Big 12 schedule has two Cyclones games that have been picked for ESPN’s Big Monday. Iowa State will be featured in five other games on ESPN2 (with two potentially being on ESPN), four on ESPNU, and the remaining six regionally distributed on the Big 12 Network. Times have all been announced.
Here’s the full schedule that’s available at Cyclones.com and an easier, printable version can be found here.
