Two new recruits can be added to the class of 2014 for the Iowa State football team.

Running back Martinez Syria from Nimitz High School in Houston, Texas, and offensive tackle Kory Kodanko from De Pere, Wisconsin, have both given the Cyclones their verbal commitment on Thursday.

Chris Williams from Cyclone Fanatic reported per a source that Syria committed, also giving a YouTube highlight reel. More highlights can be found on Syria’s Hudl profile.

Turns out, that’s the best source to find information on Syria. There isn’t even a page for the running back on any major recruiting website. What we do know is that he checks in at 6-foot, 200 pounds, and has also played on defense.

A number of highlight videos from his last two seasons can be found on hudl right now.

Kodanko was a name not released by any recruiting source. However, another Iowa State commit from Wisconsin, Seon Buchner, congratulated the tackle on Twitter.

While he at least has a profile on recruiting sites, it’s about as valuable as Syria’s. The 6-foot-6, 320-pound tackle has no stars, no ratings, and isn’t ranked in any positions.

As always, both athletes will probably get more spotlight on recruiting websites once more teams take notice. For now they’re Cyclone commits.
