The Iowa State men’s basketball team lost 78-76 against Oklahoma State on Wednesday, falling to 4-3 in the Big 12 and just 1-3 on the road in the conference. The Cyclones are just 3-6 away from Hilton Coliseum this season.

Markel Brown picked up his offense late in the game scoring nine points in the final 10:10 of the game. He finished with 12 points and eight rebounds.

Despite the total attendance of just 8,776, the crowd came to life at Gallagher-Iba Arena during the Cowboys’ many runs to stay in the game.

Phil Forte was a huge spark off the bench for Oklahoma State, scoring 17 points by hitting three 3-point shots and going 4-5 from the free throw line. Both Forte and Nash hit nine of the teams’ 14 free throws.
