Iowa State started off the Lady Vols Classic with a sweep against Cincinnati, but followed with a disappointing Saturday with two straight match losses, dropping them from 10th to 15th in the AVCA top 25 coaches’ poll this week.

Jordanne Scott led her team with 18 kills, but also led with just a 24.4 attack percentage. The Cyclones were balanced and efficient with four players punching eight or more kills.

Saturday didn’t fare so well with five players reaching double digit kills for Florida State and Kelsey Robinson dominated for Tennessee with 29 kills and 14 digs. She had just nine errors on 66 attack attempts.

Mackenzie Bigbee had the most kills of the weekend with 27, and had the best overall efficiency with 31.3 percent on the weekend. She had zero errors  against the Bearcats.

The Cyclones will play a two-match series against Illinois beginning this Friday before finally opening up home play at Hilton Coliseum against Northern Iowa. Both those teams are currently ranked in the top 25.
