5.  Jared Barnett vs Kansas – In his second start, the freshman led the Cyclones to a win against Kansas.  Barnett completed 16 of 30 passes for 175 yards but also rushed for 125 yards.

4.  Darius Reynolds vs UCONN – Money had a great game against the Huskies and was the biggest reason the Clones were able to escape Connecticut with a win.  Reynolds caught 4 passes for 128 yards including 2 touchdowns.  The first came from a pass from Josh Lenz and on his second touchdown he hurled a UCONN defender.

3.  James White vs Texas Tech – James White had the best day in his young career against Texas Tech.  He carried the ball 31 times for 138 yards and a touchdown.  The Red Raiders could not stop White all night and he was a large reason for the Clones big win against Tech.

2.  Jared Barnett vs Texas Tech – Barnett made his first career start on the road against a ranked team in Texas Tech.  Almost everybody counted Barnett and the Cyclones out especially since the Red Raiders just beat the #1 team in the land.  Barnett completed 14 of 26 passes for 144 yards and a touchdown.  He also ran for 92 yards and a touchdown.  Barnett controlled ISU’s offense the whole game and also did not turn the ball over.

1.  Steele Jantz vs Iowa – This game and performance by Jantz will always be remembered by Iowa State fans.  Steele Jantz almost single-handedly won the game for the Cyclones.  He had an amazing day through the air, completing 25 out of 37 for 279 yards passing and 4 TDs (0 INTs).  Steele Jantz quickly became one of Iowa’s biggest celebrities and fans were ready to build a statue of him outside of Jack Trice after the game against Iowa.
