Three Baylor Bears Not Named Robert Griffin III To Watch Out For

Kendall Wright – WR

RGIII’s go-to guy, WR Kendall Wright (bleacherreport.com)

When you think of the Baylor’s offense, you think of Robert Griffin III.  Well you should think of RGIII but senior WR Kendall Wright has a lot to do with RGIII’s success.  Wright is a speedster and can make big plays after the catch.  He has put up amazing numbers so far in only four games.  He has 40 receptions for 621 yards (15.5 yards per catch) and 7 touchdowns.  He is one of the best receivers in the conference and most people haven’t heard of him.  Nfldraftscout.com has him rated as the 5th best receiver in this year’s upcoming NFL Draft.

Aaron Jones – PK

Baylor Kicker Aaron Jones (Baylor.edu)

I usually wouldn’t name a place kicker as a player to watch for but Aaron Jones is an exception.  The sophomore kicker was a semifinalist for the Lou Gorza Award (nation’s best place kicker) last year as a freshman.  He walked on to Baylor last year, won the job, and was All-Big12 Honorable Mention.  Quite the year for Jones.  So far on the year, he is 3 for 4 on the season including making a season-long 48-yarder.

Tevin Reese – WR

Sophomore WR Tevin Reese

Kendall Wright is Baylor’s best receiver by far but they also have another good one in Tevin Reese.  Reese is only a sophomore but is second on the team in receptions.  He started the season off slow as he only caught three passes in the first two games.  However, in the past two games he has made a larger impact, hauling in 12 passes including two touchdowns.
