Big 12 Power Rankings

1.  Oklahoma – Destroyed Ball State last Saturday and have the Red River Rivalry this week.  I think the Sooners should be on upset alert this weekend.
2.  Oklahoma State – The Cowboys were idle this past weekend and will play Kansas this weekend.  Justin Blackmon, I think, should be a Heisman candidate.
3.  Texas – The Horns had their way against Iowa State.  I was really impressed with David Ash’s performance.  This may be a stretch but I think a BCS bowl is in reach for the Longhorns.
4.  Texas A&M – Suffered another second-half letdown against Arkansas on Saturday.
5.  Kansas State – Another big and impressive win for the Wildcats.  I don’t know if Kansas State is for real or if Baylor and Miami were both overrated.
6.  Baylor – Heartbreaking loss in Manhattan.  Robert Griffin III only has two more incompletions than TDs this year but threw a late interception last week that ended up costing Baylor the game.
7.  Missouri – Didn’t play last Saturday.  I’m not sold on Mizzou this year but if they can knock off Kansas State this week, I will be.
8.  Texas Tech – Nice comeback against Kansas but they did struggle against the Jayhawks.  I don’t know about the Red Raiders either.  They struggled against KU and had to come back to beat Nevada in the final seconds.
9.  Iowa State – Took a step back after the loss to Texas.  The injuries are starting to pile up for the Clones.  ISU can beat teams 3-8 if they can play a clean game.
10.  Kansas – I sort of feel bad for the Jayhawks.  If they were in the Big East or another weaker conference, I think they could go to a bowl game but not in the Big 12.
