Through the first two weeks, the Big 12 is 14-1 overall.  The only loss was Missouri falling to Arizona State on Friday, 37-30.  A lot of Big 12 teams were inactive this weekend.

Kansas –  Kansas defeated Northern Illinois by 3 (45-42) in Lawrence.  Jordan Webb threw a 6-yard pass with 6 seconds left to put the Jayhawks ahead.  Webb was 21 for 30 with 3 TDs and no interceptions.  Also, sophomore James Sims rushed for over 100 yards for the second time this season.  The Jayhawks will travel to Georgia Tech next week.

Missouri – The Tigers lost a close one to the Sun Devils in overtime.  James Franklin led his team down the field late to set up a tying field goal.  The Sun Devils scored first in OT and the defense held the Tigers.  James Franklin had quite a game.  He was 23 for 42 with over 300 yards passing and no interceptions.  The Tigers play Western Illinois next week.

Kansas State – The Wildcats didn’t play this week and will host Kent State next week.

Texas Tech – The Raiders also didn’t play and will travel to New Mexico to take on the Lobos.

Texas – The Longhorns came back on Saturday and held on to win by a point against BYU.  QB Garrett Gilbert was pulled in the second quarter.  Sophomore Case McCoy and freshman David Ash replaced him and led the Horns to a comeback win.  It certainly looks like the Garrett Gilbert era is over in Texas.  UCLA hosts Texas next week.

Oklahoma – The #1 team in the nation didn’t play this weekend.  Next week, they have a tough test in traveling to Tallahassee to take on the #6 Seminoles.

Baylor – Did not play, plays Stephen F. Austin next week.

Texas A&M – Did not play and will play the Idaho Vandals next week.

Oklahoma State – The Cowboys took care of business against Arizona on Thursday, winning 37-14.  Brandon Weeden threw for 397 yards, completing 42 out of 53 passes.  Sophomore RB, Joseph Randle, had another outstanding game running for 121 yards.  The Cowboys will travel to Tulsa next week.
