Finally we can focus on football instead of conference shifting and realignment. Â Like I said earlier this week, anything can happen in a rivalry game. Â I think that the game will go one of two ways: the Hawkeyes come to Jack Trice stadium and take care of business and beat Iowa State by a couple scores or the Cyclones stick around the whole game and win a nail biter.
The Clones come into this game around a touchdown underdog. Â In my opinion, the biggest key for the Cyclones is to not beat themselves. Â Do not commit stupid penalties like last week (Darius Darks, CJ Morgan) and do not turn the ball over to the Hawks. Â The second biggest key is preventing Marcus Coker from going off. Â My biggest fear for tomorrow is watching the Iowa offensive line dominate the Clones up front, creating huge lanes for Coker to run through. Â I know he had an awful week last year, but he has so much talent (you know what I mean if you watched the Insight Bowl).
The fourth quarter Steele Jantz needs to show up.  If he repeats his first three quarters tomorrow, the Clones don’t have a fighting chance.  He is can’t do it alone, he will need a much better performance from his line this week.  Both Osemele and Hicks will be back for the Clones to anchor the offensive line that was dreadful against UNI.
Prediction:
Iowa Hawkeyes: 28
Iowa State: 14
Please Iowa State, prove me wrong. Â Go Cyclones.
