Editorial Staff

Brian Spaen, editor

Lead editor for Clones Confidential. After five years and even more times changing my major, I'm a graduate from Iowa State University. I've covered multiple local events, written for the Iowa State Daily, and contributed to Bleacher Report and various blogs. Outside of rooting for the Cyclones, I root for the 49ers, Lakers, SF Giants, and LA Kings. Lacrosse is my favorite niche sport, and I also like playing and writing about video games.

Doug Winkey, Staff Writer

Staff writer for Clones Confidential. I finished my graduate degree in history at Iowa State just before joining this network. I have been watching ISU sports, especially basketball, for years and my all-time favorite player is Jake Sullivan. Outside of the Cyclones, my favorite teams are the Vikings, Jazz, Cardinals, and Avalanche. I'm also a fairly big fan of international football (soccer). Other than all that I play lots of computer games and read sci-fi and fantasy.

Carmon Wilson, Staff Writer

Began my writing career covering Cyclone sports for the Iowa State Daily, then off and on with Rivals.com and Scout.com. My passion for Iowa State began when my father took me to my first collegiate game in Ames in 1993. An Iowa State Alum and now 20 year season ticket holder for football with a passion for Cyclone athletics.

About FanSided

FanSided was born in 2007, when two brothers felt that their favorite team, the Kansas City Chiefs, was being under-covered by the mainstream media. Taking matters into their own hands, they launched Arrowhead Addict, a move that would spawn a network of over 290 fan-powered unique sports and entertainment sites dedicated to team-specific, sport-specific, genre-specific, and fanbase-specific coverage.

From sports, movies and TV to lifestyle and tech, FanSided has you covered.
