TCU 31, West Virginia 30

The Horned Frogs came back from 13-down to win it in Morgantown, their first game away from the state of Texas. While the offense didn’t have their normal, outrageous stats, they still had 389 total yards. Trevone Boykin had a bad day passing (12 of 30, 166 yards) and even admitted that much in the locker room. But the running tandem of himself, B.J. Catalon, and Aaron Greed totaled over 200 yards on the ground that helped in the win.

Baylor 60, Kansas 14

It felt like it was ages since we’ve seen the Bears suffer a crushing defeat in Morgantown. TCU snuck away with a win, but Baylor had to rebound at home against the Jayhawks and they didn’t have any trouble doing that.  Bryce Petty completed 15 of 27 passes for 277 yards and the backup mopped up in the blowout. Jayhawks quarterback Michael Cummings had a pretty good day (21 of 30, 288 yards) but the defense had no answers.

Finally, the Longhorns get a running back over 100 yards in a game. Malcolm Brown reeled in 116 yards on 22 carries, and Jonathan Gray added in 76 yards on 16 carries. Texas was efficient with their balanced offense in the air and on the ground. At least the Red Raiders only gave up 34 points this time.

Kansas State 48, Oklahoma State 14

Welcome to the bottom of the Big 12, Cowboys! OSU continues their spiral down the drain as Kansas State stays undefeated and still has an undefeated mark in conference play. Again, the Wildcats look like the most balanced and best team in the conference. Oklahoma State may lose the rest of their games this season, and if that happens, would miss a bowl game by one win.
