Iowa State just scored one of their biggest commitments yet in the class of 2015. 3-star running back Devine Ozigbo is taking his talents to the Cyclones.

The back from Sachse, Texas, announced his commitment minutes ago via Twitter.

Last Tuesday, Ozigbo narrowed down his choices to Iowa State, the Iowa Hawkeyes, and the Boise State Broncos.

Ozigbo checks in at 5-foot-11 and at a beefy 225 pounds. However, he’s got a 40-time of 4.73, he’s very fast for his size, and he’s a dual threat weapon with great hands and will provide more than just a standard tailback can give. He nearly had 1,000 yards rushing last season.

The running back has been highly sought out. He’s also received offers from Army, Boston College, Colorado State, Duke, Illinois, Kansas, Kansas State, Miami (FL), Minnesota, Mississippi State, San Diego State, SMU, Syracuse, UTSA, Tulsa, UNLV, Utah, Utah State, Vanderbilt, and Wake Forest.

Andrew Kulha, who covers the Hawkeyes over at 247Sports, projected a 60 percent chance that Ozigbo was going to commit to the Cyclones on Sunday. He explains why Iowa State just reeled in a huge get.

Here is some quick reaction from Ozigbo provided by AllCyclones’ Trey Scott and the Des Moines Register’s Tommy Birch. He’s shooting for high aspirations.

Iowa State told Ozigbo that he would be the lone running back in the class of 2015 should he commit, and now has the potential to be the featured back in the near future. Everything points in the direction that Ozigbo is a solid commitment as well with future visits cancelled, so fans should have plenty to be excited about.
