The Cyclones join the Iowa Hawkeyes and Boise State Broncos as the finalists to pick up Ozigbo in the class of 2015. Next Tuesday at approximately 2:00 PM Central time, he will announce where he will be going.

Previous to the final three, there were eight teams still in the mix. Schools that didn’t make the cut are the Boston College Eagles, Kansas Jayhawks, Wisconsin Badgers, Kansas State, and Mississippi State.

Back on May 7th, 247Sports reported that Ozigbo still had his sights set on the Hawkeyes. He would be a good fit in Iowa’s offensive scheme. The guy is an absolute tank checking in at 5-foot-11 and a whopping 230 pounds.

He’d be a great get for either of these three schools though. He’s possibly looking at what Iowa State’s offense could become by the time he gets there under Mark Mangino. Ozigbo could finally be Cyclones’ back that they can rely on for picking up the short third-down yardage or when the offense gets close to the endzone.

According to Scout, Iowa State also gives Ozigbo a promise. Currently, Iowa State doesn’t have any commitments at running back in the class of 2015. It will stay that way if Ozigbo gives a hard commitment.

Ozigbo’s final numbers from last season at Sachse High School in Texas are almost running for 1,000 yards (947 total) and hit the endzone 13 times. He also had 23 catches for over 300 yards and two additional touchdowns.
