Iowa State has given two offers to local Iowans, an offer to Cedar Rapids offensive lineman Bryce Meeker and Waukee defensive end Anthony Nelson.

First, Meeker was told that he received an offer from Iowa State and a 247Sports writer for the Iowa Hawkeyes reported that the Cyclones are at the top of his list.

"Shortly after receiving the Iowa State offer, Meeker told 247Sports that Iowa State is now on top of his list.Iowa has been interested in Meeker for a while now, but has yet to offer."

Meeker checks in at 6-foot-7 and 290 pounds. He has yet to receive any rankings on 247Sports.

He’s been offered by Illinois State, Northern Illinois, Northern Iowa, South Dakota State, and Western Illinois, and there’s a number of top Division I FBS schools that have looked at him.

As of now, unless the Hawkeyes or Nebraska Cornhuskers throw in an offer, Meeker looks poised to commit to the Cyclones.

Iowa Preps tweeted out later on Saturday night that Nelson landed the offer.

Nelson checks in at 6-foot-6 and 210 pounds with a 40-time of 4.9 seconds. He doesn’t have any national rankings yet.

He’s received offers from Eastern Michigan, Missouri State, South Dakota, and South Dakota State. Nelson hasn’t mentioned which schools he’s favoring over the others.
