NBA Draft 2014: Latest mock projections show DeAndre Kane’s stock inconsistent

facebooktwitterreddit

Where is the stock at for former Iowa State players DeAndre Kane and Melvin Ejim currently in the NBA Draft? Here’s a compilation of the best mock drafts, and a lot of them are favorable to the Cyclone duo.

The latest updated mocks come from three basketball sportswriters at CBS Sports. These mock drafts were updated as of today.

Gary Parrish, who’sone of the more famous national college basketball sportswriters and was an Iowa State cheerleader all season long, doesn’t have Kane getting drafted and has Ejim going 58th to the San Antonio Spurs.

On the flipside, NBA writers Zach Harper and Matt Moore have Kane going 53rd to the Minnesota Timberwolves and 42nd to the Houston Rockets, respectively. Harper doesn’t have Ejim getting drafted, but Moore has him going where Kane is going on Harper’s draft.

These other drafts were updated over a week ago, but since this is the first article I’m posting aggregating mock draft picks, here’s a comparison to what other people think the Cyclone duo will be going.

  • NBADraft.net: They have Kane going 53rd to the Timberwolves and Ejim going 57th to the Indiana Pacers.
  • Draft Express: They’ve got all Iowa prospects the lowest among mock draft sites. Both Ejim and Kane are off, and Iowa’s Roy Devyn Marble is going 51st to the Dallas Mavericks.
  • Walter Football: Kane goes 55th to the Miami Heat and Ejim will be the very last pick of the draft by the Spurs.
  • NBA Draft Insider: Ejim shoots all the way to 52nd for the Philadelphia 76ers while Kane is left on the board.
