A couple of rivalries highlight this week’s Big 12 basketball action.

First, things kick off with Iowa State heading to West Virginia. Before the Mountaineers let things get out of hand in Lawrence, they were able to rattle off three straight victories. They’re just a half game behind the Cyclones in the conference standings.

Big Monday will feature the rematch between Kansas and Kansas State; the Jayhawks throttled the Wildcats in the first meeting. Then the Bedlam series (already) has their rematch on Saturday. Marcus Smart, who was suspended for three games for his push on a Texas Tech fan, will out for Oklahoma State’s road game at Texas and Bedlam.

In women’s action, Iowa State will try to rebound from another tough loss. They won’t play until Saturday night in a must-win game against Kansas at home.
