Series Notes:

This is the 193rd meeting between Iowa State and Oklahoma.  The Sooners leads the series 111-81.

Iowa State went 2-1 against Oklahoma last year; both teams won on their home floor while the Cyclones won the tiebreaker in the Big 12 tournament.

Both games had completely different stories; Iowa State went on a 3-point barrage in their home game, but they had a complete no-show in Norman after losing to Kansas. Tyrus McGee went 6-of-9 from 3-point range for 22 points and Bubu Palo had 12 points, but no one else had more than 10 points.

More amazingly: Oklahoma hit all 34 free-throws in the game, tying the NCAA record for most free-throws made in a game without missing. Romero Osby was responsible for 10 of them.

Broadcast Details:

This is the first play-by-play call by Shroff and Welsh. However, Welsh covered the Diamond Head Classic and has had nothing but praise for the Cyclones in his studio appearances on ESPNU.
