Both Iowa State and Oklahoma will likely be sticking with their quarterbacks that started last week, but who are some other players to watch on the field?

Brennan Clay (OU running back, #24, Sr.)

What in the world happened to Clay? In the first five games, the senior running back had two games that broke the century mark. In his last four games, he hasn’t broken 42 yards and his attempts have drained. With Iowa State’s soft run defense, he could finally have the breakout performance he needs. Both him and Damien Williams (whose seen his workload pick up) were shut down against Baylor last week.

Shontrelle Johnson (ISU running back, #21, Sr.)

With Aaron Wimberly battling a mid-season injury, Johnson has been the back that’s stepped up the most production-wise. He’s seen double-digit carries in the last three games with 119 yards gained in those contests compared to 27 yards on 12 carries in his first four games.

Michael Hunnicutt (OU place kicker, #18, Jr.)

The Sooner kicker is a Lou Groza Award semifinalist this year and became the all-time school leader in field goal kicks after his two clutch near-40 yard attempts helped Oklahoma defeat TCU.

E.J. Bibbs (ISU tight end, #11, Jr.)

Bibbs has been a steady contributor on the team all season, and he’s had two of his better performances in the last three games with 53 yards against Oklahoma State and a season-high 63 against TCU. He will be up against the nation’s ninth-best pass defense.

Dominique Alexander (OU linebacker, #42, Fr.)

This linebacker is just a freshman, but he’s been making an impact since his game against Texas. He had a season-high 19 total tackles (13 solo) and has had 41 of his season’s 51 total tackles in the last four games.
