In the opening night of the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, Will Clyburn led the Norfolk Sports Club with 25 points and three steals in a blowout loss against K&D Roundscaping, 91-67.

It was domination from the beginning as Norfolk hit just 23.7 percent in the first half and missed all nine shots from 3-point range. They were down 51-22 at the break.

Jack Cooley (Notre Dame) had a double-double, 13 points and 14 rebounds, along with a team-high three blocks – which was the only advantage Norfolk had in the game.

Clyburn hit nine field goals while the second-most made my a player on the team was four. Only Cooley and himself hit double-digits on the offensive end.

By comparison, K&D had six players score in double-digits – three of them off of the bench. Brandon Davies (BYU) led the team with 16 points in an efficient 6-8 from the field and had eight rebounds. DJ Seeley (Cal State Fullerton) came off the bench with 15 points.

K&D had 22 assists on 37 field goals made. Their total number of assists was just two below the amount of field goals Norfolk hit in the game.
