Need Cyclone Football Now? Games are Available On-Demand

We’re almost approaching August, and the taste of football season is starting to come upon us with stories of previews, depth charts, and training camps, all culminating with live football finally starting later this week.

The real stuff doesn’t start until the final few days of the month (and the real real doesn’t begin until the Cyclones trot onto the field in Jack Trice Stadium this September 1st against Tulsa). But what can you do for that itch of watching real football action when the NFL preseason shenanigans aren’t tickling your fancy?

Well, thanks to the fine folks at Big12Sports.com, they’ve got you covered. All the nationally televised Big 12 games from last season are available on-demand, with anyone able to replay that amazing in-state rivalry game or the huge upset against Oklahoma State to your heart’s content. Not every game is available to watch, so maybe we can just go ahead and forget that little event that happened in Missouri last season? I mean, they aren’t even apart of the Big 12 anymore anyway.

The following games are available at the Big 12 website here. For the quicker highlights, or in-depth recaps and stats for these games and all the other ones, they are all available on the page. More full games are available in previous years, but note that just the ESPN/ABC games are archived.

  • 9/10/11 – Iowa @ Iowa State (FSN)
  • 10/1/11 – Texas @ Iowa State (FX)
  • 10/8/11 – Iowa State @ Baylor (FSN)
  • 10/22/11 – Texas A&M @ Iowa State (ABC)
  • 10/29/11 – Iowa State @ Texas Tech (FSN)
  • 11/5/11 – Kansas @ Iowa State (FCS)
  • 11/18/11 – Oklahoma State @ Iowa State (ESPN2)
  • 11/26/11 – Iowa State @ Oklahoma (FX)
  • 12/3/11 – Iowa State @ Kansas State (FSN)

Unfortunately, no bowls are available for on-demand replay. Outside of the basketball game that was played at the Alamo Bowl and the classic Fiesta Bowl between Okie State and Stanford, you aren’t missing much.
