Football Schedule: Updated Times and TV Assignments

The Big 12 TV contracts are still being discussed, but all the times have been announced for the non-conference games, and a surprise move for a Big 12 conference game to the day after Thanksgiving.

Sept. 1 vs Tulsa – This one still remains open to discussion and when and where this game will be. Previously it was an educated guess that the game would be at 2:30 local time on FSN due to ABC not having a Big 12 game at that time. However, Wyoming vs Texas still hasn’t found a time or a home yet.

If it ends up on the Longhorn Network, that game counts as an ABC appearance for the Longhorns; there’s a limit of six maximum for each Big 12 team. With two non-conference games on LHN, and a potential Big 12 conference game, there may be discussion in putting the Wyoming game on FSN. Everything will get worked out soon, but for now plan this game to kickoff the first Saturday of the season at 11:00 a.m. on FSN, or worst-case scenario, Mediacom.

Sept. 8 at Iowa – This one was set in stone a while ago. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on the Big Ten Network. Since last season, the Big Ten opted to spread out their games instead of having the lone game on ABC at 2:30. Your teams can’t get much exposure if 10 of them play at the same time.

Sept. 15 vs Western Illinois – Announced earlier this week, it’s a primetime game at 7:00 p.m. that will likely be on Mediacom. WIU is an FCS team, meaning that no cable network was going to look at this game anyway.

Friday, Nov. 23 vs West VirginiaIn a surprise move, ABC will be showing the Mountaineers and Cyclones right after the Nebraska vs Iowa game on Black Friday. It all begins at 11:00 a.m. CT, and both games will be nationally televised.
